How to Crochet a Beanie
Are you ready to make your beanie? To begin, start by making a slip knot.
CH 34 and turn your work.
Row 1: HDC into the second chain from your hook and continue to HDC down the chain for a total of 33 times. CH 1 and turn your work.
Row 2-26: HDC into each back loop from the previous row for a total of 33 times. CH 1 and turn your work. It should measure around 18" long when finished.
Row 27: Insert your hook into the first stitch in Row 26 and Row 1. SL ST. Repeat this in each stitch for a total of 33 times.
CH 1 and turn your work right side out. You have now finished the base of the hat!
Cut the yarn about 24 inches long to weave it around the top of the hat to close it.
Using the tapestry needle, weave in and out around the circle of the hat. Pull to cinch closed. Use the tapestry needle to secure the ends in and out a few times until fully secure.
Weave in the remaining ends, tie them, and trim away any excess.
Attach a desired pom of choice! Use a button on the inside of the hat to secure the pom.
Now you have your finished hat! Wasn't that easy?
