Learn How To Make Halloween Lollipop Sucker Holders with this Free Cricut SVG File and Step-By-Step Blog Post Tutorial
Looking for a Halloween party, trick-or-treat, and classroom favors? These adorable Halloween lollipop holders will do the trick (or treat)!
I had a lot of fun making these quick and easy lollipop holders. There are size different Halloween designs to make- like a cute monster, a ghost, or even a pair of bats.
For this DIY project, I used gourmet lollipops I found at the dollar store and Caramel Apple Pops from my local grocery store. These lollipops are the best candies for this project because they fit nicely inside the lollipop holders.
How Many Styles Are there?
There are TWO lollipop holder styles to choose from; a box style for round lollipops or a flat wrapper style, perfect for holding Caramel Apple Pops.
How many designs are there?
There are six designs: A cute monster, ghost, spiderweb, a scream mask, bat, and a skeleton bone design. The best part, you can mix and match the designs.
What Type of Cardstock Should I use?
I recommend using lightweight cardstock such as 65 lbs. You don't necessarily need heavier cardstock for these lollipop holders.
Supplies Needed:
- Cricut Maker, Cricut Explore, or Other Cutting Machine
- StandardGrip Mat
- Cardstock 65-80 lbs
- Fine-Point Blade
- Scraper Tool
- Scoring Wheel Tip & Housing or Scoring Stylus
- Hot Glue or Bearly Arts Craft Glue (This is my favorite tacky adhesive)
- Use the code SRP10 to save 10%
- Gourmet Lollipops 30 Ct.
- Caramel Apple Lollipops
Let's Get Started!
In this tutorial, I'm showing you how to put together two designs in two different styles. The steps for each are basically the same as the others.
Download the Free SVG Files Here
Upload Design
Before we get crafting, we need to upload the SVG file to Cricut Design Space. First, Download the SVG File, Create A New Project, click Upload and Upload Image.
Once added to your canvas, "Ungroup" the design at the top of the layers panel. Pick the style and designs you want to cut. Then, change the lines in the centers of the design to score lines by changing the operation from "Basic Cut" to "Score" in the top left corner of Design Space (the lines should then show up dashed).
Then, attach the score lines to their respective pieces in the right panel by selecting the score line and the object and clicking "Attach".
Lollipop Holder Box Designs
Step 1: Cut Out Lollipop Holder Box Designs
Halloween Lollipop Holder Box Designs Consists Of:
- 3 Lollipop Holder Pieces
- 3 Circular Pieces
- 2 "Boo!" Pieces
- 1 Monster: 4 circles (2 medium, 2 small), Mouth Cutout, Teeth Cutout
- 1 Ghost
- 1 Spiderweb
The first design I'm going to be making is the spiderweb design in the box style, which includes a lollipop holder piece, a circular piece, a spiderweb, and a "Boo!" cutout.
To start, load mat with cardstock into your Cricut machine, click Make It in Design Space and start cutting. Make sure to switch between your scoring stylus or wheel and fine-point blade.
Step 2: Assemble Lollipop Holder
To assemble, fold the lollipop holder along the two score lines. Once folded, glue the circular piece at one end. Then, glue the spiderweb on top.
Next, glue the "Boo!" cutout at the bottom of the spiderweb.
Step 3: Add Lollipop
Finally, place your lollipop in the center between the two folds. Then, glue the two ends of the flaps together securing the lollipop in place. I decided to use hot glue for this step because it dries quickly and held the sucker in place.
A Finished Lollipop Holder Box!
Once everything has dried, your Lollipop holder is done! For the others in this style repeat the steps taken to make this spiderweb lollipop holder.
Halloween Wrapper Lollipop Holders
Step 1: Cut Out Lollipop Holder Designs
Halloween Wrapper Lollipop Holder Designs Consists Of:
- 3 Halloween Lollipop Holder Pieces
- 2 Circular Pieces
- 1 Skull
- 1 Cross Skeleton Bones
- 2 Bats
- 1 Scream mask w/ black cutout
- 1 "Boo!"
The Second design I'm going to be making is the skeleton bone cross design in the wrapper style, which includes a lollipop holder piece, a circular piece, a skull, and a cross skeleton bone piece.
To start, load mat with cardstock into your Cricut machine, click Make It in Design Space and start cutting. Make sure to switch between your scoring stylus or scoring wheel and fine-point blade.
Step 2: Assemble Halloween Wrapper Design
Next step is to fold the designs along the score line that's in the middle of the lollipop holder pieces. Afterwards, Glue the circular piece onto the lollipop holder, then glue the skull on top leaving room for the skeleton bone cross.
Step 3: Add Sucker
The final step is to add the sucker. For this particular style of holder I decided to buy some Caramel Apple Pops because they fit well inside of this holder.
Finally, place the sucker or lollipop in between the two flaps and slide the stick into the hole near the top. Then, fold the flaps and glue them together, securing the candy in place and this cute holder is done!
A Finished Halloween Wrapper Lollipop Holder!
For the others in this style repeat the steps taken to make this cute skull lollipop holder.
When making this craft, play around with the colors, add glitter and string, or mix and match the designs!
