Can I just tell you how excited I am to get to be a part of this fabulous blog tour? There are some absolutely lovely ladies lined up for this week's blog tour and I'm thrilled to be a part of it. When Katie (the designer behind SLPco.) asked me to design an outfit for her "Get The Look" kits, I jumped at the chance!
If you aren't familiar with these kits, each kit provides you with a PDF sewing pattern featuring a SLPco. pattern and the Art Gallery fabric needed to recreate the exact look. Yes, that means you can recreate my exact look! How fun, right? It seriously would absolutely make my day to see someone make this exact outfit for their little one! The "Get The Look" kits take all the hard work out of choosing a pattern and fabric and let you focus on sewing.

I was so excited when I saw the newly released Isla (Aff. Link) from The Simple Life Company. I just knew my heart-loving three-year-old had to have this dress! That heart cut-out is swoon-worthy, am I right? I instantly knew the perfect fabric pairing for this dress! I quickly printed the pattern out, taped it all together and pulled out my two fabric choices.
I used Paradis Sweet in Knit from Bari J.'s Joie De Vivre fabric line for the bodice and Sunprint Orchid from Katarina Roccella's Lavish Fabric line, both of which are from Art Gallery Fabrics. I love mixing different fabric lines together to get exactly what I'm looking for and because many of the colors used from line to line are similar, it's quite easy to do!
Sunprint Orchid is such a vibrant magenta, I love the depth of this color! I really wanted to use the circle skirt for this pattern but since this print isn't available in knit, I used the normal-gathered skirt. But rest assured, I have plenty of circle skirts planned since I have a twirl-loving daughter.
Paradis Sweet is such a bold and beautiful floral knit. The first time I saw this fabric online I immediately ordered some of it. It hurt just a little bit to cut into such a gorgeous fabric. Luckily, I managed it. Ha!
I chose to use both the full-length sleeve and the flutter for a little extra volume. I adore the way a flutter sleeve looks when it's added to long sleeves. Since it's finally cooling down here in Cali, my daughter will be getting a lot of wear out of this long-sleeved dress.
I made a size 3 in the Isla Dress.
Just as soon as I finished making my three-year-olds Isla, Katie released this dress in baby sizes. So of course, I had to sew one for baby Vivienne! This is the first time my girls have ever had exact matching outfits and I think it looks so sweet! I just adore this dress and I can't wait to play around with the back cut out and try some new shapes.
Those gorgeous felt bows came from Lennyn and Reese. It's my favorite place to shop for bows. They always have the cutest fabrics and great prices!

You are so sweet, Tami! Thanks so much. I just adore this spot for pictures. The lighting was perfect. It's so dry here in Cali that it usually is just a completely dry river bed with brush. But we've had some water as of late and it finally turned green!
